Hi, I’m Amanda.

I’m not a billionaire, a celebrity, or a policy-maker,

I’m just a woman who knows that we can all make a positive impact in our world.

In fact, there are so many incredible humans out there, already doing the hands-on work, and changing their communities for the better. After deeply considering what I could do to help, I realized that I just need to get some funding directly to the source of change: local leaders in the trenches

When we do this together, little by little, we can both empower the projects that move humanity forward, AND empower ourselves to become better agents of change along the way.

The Micro-Giving aspect of the World Empowerment Experience makes this simple, fun, and exponentially uplifting for all.

Hi, I’m Lisa.

I am a woman who knows that our greatest power comes from our genuine connections.

What will save us in a time of crisis? Our Community.

And true community is built, not on talk alone, but on creating something meaningful together.

When we make something meaningful, about our deepest values, together in community, we call it Craftivism.

The World Empowerment Experience offers community gatherings to explore and express what you stand FOR, while also learning about the perspectives and solutions others have as well.

Projects we’ve funded:

What is the World Empowerment Experience?

It’s a 2-Part Combo:

Global Micro-Giving + Local Craftivism

Step 1: We each contribute $25, every month. This is how we give sustainably.

Step 2: As a group, we choose one project from around the world to support each month. We do this, not through charity, but through Micro-Loans. These 0%-interest loans have been proven to empower the recipients and allow them to maintain full ownership of their ideas and efforts. This is how we empower globally.

Step 3: We gather monthly in-person (and quarterly online) to create a new art project together. This builds the strength of our community ties, and promotes the vision of what we want to see more of in the world. This is how we activate locally.

Step 4: As the micro-loans get paid back, we get to re-lend those dollars again, exponentially increasing our ability to fund new projects, over time. Your $25 soon compounds to $30, then $50, then $100, etc., while your monthly giving remains the same. This is how we grow exponentially.

Start growing your impact exponentially right NOW:

The snowball effect: when the dollars we loan out get repaid, they go right back out to new loans the next month.

In this way, the amount we are able to loan continues to increase over time. Therefore, the dollars you give this month will be given again and again for years to come!

This is how we empower more people exponentially!

Great Questions:

Micro Loans 101:

“The 60 Decibels Microfinance Index provides unambiguous evidence that MFIs [micro-loans] can change lives for the better.”

Microfinance Improves Lives: 88% of borrowers interviewed for the study agreed that their quality of live has improved since accessing loans and other financial services. 34% say their quality of life has “very much improved”

Microfinance Increases Household Revenue: 73% of index participants reported increased household incomes and those that used microloans to grow their businesses were significantly more likely to report positive household outcomes.

Microfinance Promotes Economic Empowerment for Women: 67% of participants of the Index are women, 30% of whom live below the poverty line of $3.20 a day. 58% have accessed a loan for the first time. Women in the study reported greater income increases than men.

Microfinance Helps Cushion Economic Shock: 70% credit access to loans with helping them face major expenses.

We use Kiva.org to vet and facilitate our International and US loans, which are crowdfunded by many lenders.

We contribute our dollars to the mix, and the project becomes “funded”. After a couple of months, the recipient begins to pay back the loan in small payments, sometimes just $5-10 dollars per month. When those dollars come back to us, we then re-lend them out to the next loan, in addition to the new dollars we’ve collected from our members.

In this way, the dollars you give fund project after project for years to come, empowering recipients both next door and around the world! We get to give more and more, and our recipients get the pride of owning their success while changing their communities for the better.

WEE is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, and we use a free service called Grapevine.org to facilitate your donation, making it 100% tax-deductible, and you may cancel at any time.

Crafting + Activism = Craftivism!

If you’re a creative or innovative type, we need your voice right now. When we focus on what we DO want to create, what we DO stand for, and where we DO want to go as a human race, we all get one step closer to living it.

When we create together, we amplify that signal (both energetically and physically) to those ready to hear it, and we also tend to our own spark inside, to keep our own flame strong.

Craftivism gatehrings are a unique mix of Global Awareness + Local Connection + Self-Care + Scissors, Ribbon, & Glitter. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without them!

WEE goes beyond dollars

When it comes to empowering the world, WEE believes that giving our dollars is only the beginning.

We give once per month, but what about the other 29 days?

WEE believes that real change happens when the rubber meets the road – when difficult topics are faced, discussed, and new action is taken.

For this reason, WEE offers a monthly Craftivism gathering, where we explore and express our deepest desires for what we want to see in the world.

By clarifying and amplifying our voices in community, we discover ways to share our vision throughout the month – new words are spoken, new actions are taken, new friends are made, and that’s how real change is created.

Let’s do this! Together. →
